  1. Kimbers have a magazine flaw, mine doesn’t pickup with the bolt every tenth round on average, ( they made a "kit" to fix it, but it doesn’t work )and if you get a jam, need to dismantle the rifle as no removable magazine, wouldn’t have another one

  2. Perfect setup. My 11 year old tells me my .308 Howa alpine with vortex viper 3×9 is now his. Looks like I’ll be buying your setup here to replace it

  3. I’m not a hunter but just dragging all my shit to the shooting bench makes me want a mountain rifle. Love that combo!

  4. How awesome would a similar setup in 243Win be for youth, especially if you could use a tikka without a detachable mag with a 4-12 scope. Id use that perfectly where i live

  5. That looks to be a nice rifle and I agree on scope magnification lower is better as I use the low end way more than the high end.

  6. My favorite recent pairing is a Strike Eagle 4-24x50mm, put it on my Weatherby Mark V Hunter in .300 Roy for looong range hunting. With a 20 MOA rail, a set of Warne Maxima rings, and an Insite Arms Heathen muzzle brake the only limitation is the dolt behind the gun.

  7. Ryan, maybe I missed it but what height Talley mounts are those? I’m guessing low but wasn’t sure, since the HS has the 44mm objective.

I have several of these 2.5-10 HS scopes on my Browning XBolts…love everything about them…very effective setup for me and keeps everything lightweight and balanced.

  8. I love the concept of a light hunting stick, I had picked the 2-10×32 FFP for mine, but I do see that it is 10 oz heavier, which is significant. I still love the 2-10×32, especially the FFP treats me well for quick ranging and other old man tricks.

  9. I have used the same scope with Tally rings on a Tikka T3x superlight in .308 for the last 3 seasons. Excellent setup.
Just ordered the same scope again this morning. Smoking deal on MWUSA. Could not pass it up.
